I'll keep this short and breif.
After quitting ddo to travel and work, and not playing for many months.
I doubt I will be returning.
I love you all, but I feel like my course is complete with ddo.

2 questions:
1. why longswords?
2. what does rogue give?

sounds like an interesting build though

Rogue gives sneak attack dice, ending with 3d6 sneak attack for minimal AP investment.

Compare to Other dillitants one may take:
Ranger - Bow Str w/ ap
Barbarian - dr 3/- and some HP (a good choice)
Monk - Up to 5 unarmored wis bonus, +1 wisdom (ap), healing amp AP
Fighter - Nothing initially but gains bonuses to combat feats.

As it is, a paladin is feat starved, so likely not taking combat feats.
As a half elf you have no specialized weapon, so might as well take the bonuses you would get from paladin.
Long swords would let you easily switch into a more phoenix like build, if you so desire with minimal feat swapping.
Your already self healing, so no real need to get umd on a paladin (imho) so the rogue dilly lets you gain a little more damage per swing.

Reasoning against the monk dilly. You would gain more for splashing 3-7 monk than you would wasting the feat. By not taking it leaves the option to take the class later if so desired.
