Some Truth

I'll keep this short and breif.
After quitting ddo to travel and work, and not playing for many months.
I doubt I will be returning.
I love you all, but I feel like my course is complete with ddo.

to me, from the point of view of a monk, it looks like instead of making monks stronger they made everything else weaker... lol

From a rouge's prespective...
Hey guise. They didn't nerf us any this time! Double Crippleing strike?

Do they even like bards or ranged rangers anymore?

Are you kidding me buddy? They just made Arcane archers easyer to play for one.
Imbue force arrow is now a toggle that costs sp. So now all arrows get the extra dammage.
They like bards still, the capstone is proof...
Transmuters nolonger are the end all dast ubah weapon.
I am rather fine with this.
W/P's are no longer the end all speed killer... they just do extra dammage on huge hp mobs (20HD looses an extra 20 hp per 2 swings)... so they will STILL be good...and when they drain max, auto crits
If anything, W/E's are now better, and rogue crippling strike still stands firm...
now able to quickly cripple or at least nerf rednamed mobs...
Infact, all red names now able to take 10 points, per stat, of stat dammage, that is, sir, pritty huge
Re: Mod 9 Release notes
Yeah, but they have extra tempest build enhancements but not extra arcane enhancements. ALso, I would like to see if you can summon returning arrows and use the force imbuement. My guess is no. PLus, they speeded up all ranged weaps, which means repeaters (which defy physics) will be even faster than bows where in any event. I'm not sure there's a huge benny there.
As far as bard goes, extra songs? when you have like 18 anyway? big woop. no enhancement increases, few new spells, and they'll be useless in shavarath.

Re: Mod 9 Release notes
Based on what I read I think you can summon returning arrows and imbue them.
It does specifically say that you can only have one imbuement active at a time.... which may be forshadowing the introduction of stuff like fireball arrows They already said that kind of stuff would be post mod 9 tho

Extra songs are nice for the pesky rogues, "I need your ac song, oh no stop dont rage me /tear."
Capstone gives spellsingers an additional + to dc real tasty for casters and with inspire courage +3 hit and damage try running a raid without a bard!

Completely unnecessary why they have to deviate from the rule book is beyond me.

Yeah, the extra bonus to dc is nice, but won't matter in shavarath which seems to be immune to bards, and yeah, everyone will want to run raids with bards for that buff.

Send me your email address in a private message. I copied the entire thing and it's 37 pages in Word. It won't fit in the forums. However, it's not full page width and has a lot of bullets, so it is a quick read!

Extra Dc helps casters land debuffs. Clerics get 10% sp discount which is great in long battles. Every melee gets at least +9 to damage from inspire courage. By having a bard in the party you essentially add another tank who never needs to be healed or buffed. I know your not happy because your charm spells wont be effective, im not thrilled either, but trust me there will be a bard in every raid.

Yeah, I totally agree, bards will be wanted for raids, I have no doubt of this. I just feel that they're buff bots now (although one could argue they always were).
