Airship Poll and News

I've been speaking with some of you online about the airship. The general consensus so far has been to skip the ML 20 plat bought ship and get the ML25 Astral Diamond Ship. This will allow us to upgrade along the storm line as we progress in levels. It will also give us a discount on the higher level storm ships.

To be clear... No one is required to donate astral diamonds. If you would like to they can be banked in the harbor ship shop. If we have enough diamonds I will purchase the ship as soon as we hit 25.

Ship Name

Two names have stuck out so far "Mark of the Storm" and "Eye of the Storm". Are there any others we should consider? I'm setting up a poll on these two plus a write in option...

If you suggest a name please be serious with it. Smile

You know if you get the plat ships the diamond ones are cheaper right? So really its a much better idea to get all the plat ships then go for diamond ones and save alot of money.

thx for posting this nyth I misunderstood the upgrade system. It does make sense to buy the plat ship first so we use less TP for the storm ships...

It is just A LOT of plat for the upgrades. Luckily we have a long time before we are a high enough level to buy the upgrades. Smile

We made it to 15 last night though. I wasn't going to bed until we did! Wink

Let me know who I should mail my junk weapons to so they can sell to vendor at a higher price. Elans? Pan?

I will put some money down on the ship next time I log on.

Origanaly I had been promoteing mark of the storm, but I think Im actualy going to fall in with eye of the storm...

Also. DID not realize that with the diamond ships...

Im not thinking clearly with numbers in mind at the moment.
It seems cheaper to just plow through the plat ships till 85, then do the final big buy in of 400AD wich Is much much cheeper than the 770 AD buy

....I'm thinking, that if we just start stalling out with guild leveling (ie decreseing over time?) we switch to the AD ship before we loose the ability too.

np, also with the plat ships it is easier for me to help lol, being premium now i dont get a steady stream of tp, but still steady plat.

I didn't even think of it being a Dresden book, but maybe that's why I liked it so much. Smile

I just think it sounds cool and I was trying to keep Storm or Shadow in the name.

Lan,

If you go to the harbor the ship vendor is by where the auctioneer is or use to be. Go in and talk to the npc on the right side. He will take plat from you for the guild bank.

I like it too....but i needs something more. Most ships have some type of feminine moniker. Maybe something along the lines of "Sally Storm Front" or "storm Front Slu..." well you get the idea. Airship Poll and News Icon_biggrin

I like Storm Front, I really do. I just think it lacks something. Could use a little panache in my opinion. Ships always have names that derive from class or ass. Since there hasn't been much interest in the latter, may I submit one last epithet? How about the Storm Front Fitzgerald?

Sort of on the same subject but since we are very close maybe we should look at putting up as the message of the day on how and where to put the plat in for the ship. I forget to do it every time I log on and can help with getting us the plat (OK I'm old and my memory is slipping so I need a little reminder). I don't want people to feel obligated that is why I bring it up here. However, I think most people in the guild will help out.

How much is it? I am sure the treasury can buy it outright.

Has anyone tried out any of it's "functions"? Can we take it for a spin? Is there anything we shouldn't do? Do we need to "crew" her? If so don't let Fayth be the navigator!

i found that depending on which side of the ship you jump off of it drops you to a certain place.

i was able to jump to house d,k,j, and the marketplace. It didnt seem random to me, because jumping off the plank or the front always gave same result. The only exception may be the ledge underneath, i jumped off the front of the ledge and alway got the market, but only jumped off each side once.
