I'll keep this short and breif.
After quitting ddo to travel and work, and not playing for many months.
I doubt I will be returning.
I love you all, but I feel like my course is complete with ddo.

OK I'm a Noob, I didn't see that it was Eastern Time so I voted for 8-10 PM. My vote should be for 10-12 PM since I can't come on until 7:00 at the earliest.

I think the last couple of guild shroud raids have been a great success. I think we found that Saturday 1000-1200 est is the best time. I have been able to stay awake long enough to get it done.

Yes it appears that is the time we will try to run most raids....

And..... Strype has offered to act as "Raid Boss" and get more Raids set up. He said he will also help people with keying.

A big thanks to Strype for his offer Smile

Raid Times Poll Empty Re: Raid Times Poll

Post  Strype McClaine Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:30 pm

For my Clarification, the raids in the game

The Vault of the Night (9-12 : Epic) KEY
-1Rouge, 2 high wis, 2 high str

Zawabi's Revenge (11-14 : Epic) KEY

The Reaver's Fate (13-16) KEY
--We can do with almost any group, need a D-Door Dude

The Titan Awakes (12 - 14) KEY
--We can do with almost any group

Accursed Assention (16+) KEY
--Hard to key for, lots of fine tuned movements

The Thirteenth Eclipse (16+) KEY

The Hound of Xoriat (15+ (?))
--Bard Req

The Vision of Destruction (16+)
--Need primary tank (do we have any one at level who an do this?)

The Devil You Know (18+) KEY + Boots
--Boots not req on all charicters, but most.
--Manditory on melle

Oh Kay. Here are the raids, what exactly do we want to plan our raid groups to, do.
Hound And Vision are good raids, that do not require keying.
The Shroud, everyone keys for.

So we are looking at 2-3 raids on raid night, i would say, Shroud, Hound, and Vod are the big three.

Smaller week day raid nights, could be Hound, reaver, or even titan.

Opinions of what the guild might like to do?

Post  Morrek Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:43 pm

I for one would like to run the Titan more and at least attempt the Abbot. I still need some keying on the Abbot though. I need sigil pieces on everyone Sad

I do not have a VOD tank, but will build one for future runs (long term fix I know). I think Hyrin is at or getting close.

I saw a good discussion on the epic raids in the DDO forums. Toons for epic raids need to be really geared out. The epics are also pretty resource intensive. I think as a Guild VON may be a good one to tackle on epic first. I personally have only run Von 1 on Epic... it wasn't too bad until the end fight... that was brutal. Some of the toons in the pug weren't ready for it

We should figure out who class everyone can offer for epic. I think it takes some planning and focus to have a character ready for it.

For now we should focus getting people geared and accustomed to the other difficulty setting raids. I saw some good posts awhile ago on what gear you should have for each raid. I will try to dig up that info out of the ddo forums.

Strype I will give you the tools here to communicate Raids on the calendar and a Raid forum.

Thanks again.

Starting to run epics would be awesome, most of the normal stuff is getting boring and easy. Also epics can be extremely easy if everyone has a clue, and theres no weak links.

Raid Times Poll Empty Raids

Post  Smackim Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:56 pm

Strype thanks for offering to plan and help with raids. We have really been missing this as a guild. I've been assisting with getting people their sigils and have one toon complete and a couple more only needing one more piece.

I have run a few quests on epic with Smackim and they are tough. So far though we have not had a complete party (ran with 4 each time). We completed VON 1 with 4 people and it was tough. It would be nice to have a complete party since there is no dungeon scaling.

I really enjoyed running VoD and Strype did a great job of leading the raid. Would enjoy running it again on my caster.

Well, Week II of raiding, we end 1-2 on the three raids we did.

Lag destroyed our shrouds, and a fantastic Hound, A little slow, but a perfect last minute kill with zero casualties, even from bees.

Est is a whole 5 hours behind me, so will join in when I can but as I live in the future may sometimes struggle unless I pull a late night, If we get more Europeans aboard in the future will set up a forum topic for running raids closer to GMT as apposed to EST.

We try to run raids at other times also so you should be able to hit on some of them. If you run across other European players that might be interested in joining let me know.

Weekends are raid days any ways. So we can plan various points, for various raids.
Right now the goal is to get the guild back to raiding like we once were (pre ddo:eu/Mod 9).
We ran shrouds weekly, not realy planned but more like just what we did.
A planned time, for at least 1-2 weekly raids gets us raiding more.
